Visual Designer

Over the past 25 years, we have partnered with Fortune 500 companies to create differentiated web, mobile, e-commerce and in-store self-service experiences. We are currently looking for an experienced Visual Designer to join our crew.

The Visual Designer will evolve their existing skills by working with senior creative staff on a range of ambitious and innovative projects. Responsible for helping to drive the creative direction of experiences for a variety of digital mediums, an understanding of typography, layout, animation, design standards (I.e. Responsive design) and user interaction design will be needed to help the team create the best work possible.

Communication is a big part of the job, so the Designer must feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process. Keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends is also key when moving towards promotion and recognition.

The specific details of a designer’s role will vary by project, but common activities include:
  • Offering input to creative meetings and sharing ideas
  • Production of sales and marketing materials for MQ
  • Creating design comps based on wireframes
  • Communicating with senior team members to receive feedback
  • Liaising effectively with other team members across the organization
  • Supporting the team throughout the execution of engagements
  • A BA/ BFA in design (or equivalent training)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adeptness with leading design software packages (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Self-motivation to achieve and succeed
  • Some creative industry experience (candidates with work experience preferred, internship experience at a minimum)
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • The ability to see projects through from inception to production
  • Consistency regardless of project size
  • Ability to communicate ideas through sketches and illustrations
  • The motivation to maintain and improve design standards
  • The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
  • 3+ years of experience
  • WordPress experience
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (CS) Applications and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with HTML/ CSS
